A Thin Hope
Prepared for surgery after a fast flight to Methodist
Hospital on LifeFlight, a man shot point blank with a
shotgun has only a thin flap of skin holding his left
arm and hand in place. The situation is critical as
he heads into late-night surgery, having lost most of
his original blood volume during transport. Without
the flight from rural Peru, IN, the arm would already
be lost - if not his life.
